Today I write to you on the
happiest day of my life, because my brother’s operation was a success! I’m so infinitely
grateful for all the support we have received from our community, family and
friends over the last few weeks. Whenever one of us was worried, there was always
someone else around to put our minds at ease. So just like we shared the pain
with each other, today, we share the happiness. That being said, even though
medically the outcome of the operation was the best-case scenario we could’ve
hoped for, he’s still not completely in the clear yet. The assurance of his
full recovery will only come with time, so I’m a little nervous about
celebrating too much right now in case I jinx this positive streak.
