Hai
Girls,
GUESS
WHO’S BACK?? ME!! I’m excited, recharged and ready to take on the world!
As
you know, I deactivated my blog on a sour note a few weeks ago. I was being
bullied online and it was really affecting my schoolwork and my emotions. I
took my big brother’s advice to shut down my blog for a while, and distance
myself from all the online chaos.
Still,
it was a difficult few weeks. The bullying didn’t go away. My lowest point was
when I felt betrayed by someone I thought I could trust, but then it turned out
to be another so-called friend who had betrayed me. It has been a rollercoaster
of emotions… Now that Pandemonium has been found out (and is no longer my
friend), the cyberbullying has finally stopped.
Looking
back, I do feel bad for letting you, my loyal readers, down, though I hope that
you’ll respect and understand my choice to take a break. I realise that it was
the best decision I could’ve made – and now I’m back, stronger than ever! I’m
SO grateful for knowing who my true friends are, and having a supportive
family, especially my big brother, even though he can still be annoying
sometimes.
Don’t
worry – I’ve saved all my previous blog posts, so nothing is lost. Online
bullies will never win and remember: don’t feed the trolls.
I
wasn’t sure how I would be able to survive without social media, but I kept
myself busy with little fun activities like organising my wardrobe,
de-cluttering my room and experimenting with new make-up and hair styles.
And
so on that note, here’s a step-by-step tutorial for a super simple and cute braid
that I like to do. It’s so easy and it cheers me up to add a little something
to an ordinary ponytail. Try it!
1. Prepare your hair by
combing and straightening if needed. You could add some serum or leave-in
conditioner for extra moisture if your hair is looking dry.
2. Take a section of your hair
from where you want the braid to start (left or right, both will work!) and
divide it into three sections.
3. Start braiding those three
sections in a classic braid.
4. Keep adding more hair as
you work your braid away from your face.
5. Pull your hair
(the braid included) into a ponytail. Leave some of your fringe out if you
want. Fasten the remaining hair with an elastic band.
6. Remove the
elastic band from the braid. Your look is now complete!!
Be
sure to take a photo of your new braid and tag @FruFru.Shru on Instagram! Stay positive, stay strong and never let the
trolls get you down. Mwah!
Xoxo
