Hai
Girls,
This week, there was quite
a bit of tension in the air as we were anxiously waiting to hear about what
would happen to E who had been wrongfully accused of inappropriate behaviour at
work. It’s quite scary, because despite all of us knowing he isn’t guilty, we
really have no control of how the facts will be interpreted by a third party.
I guess we never really
have any control over anything apart from our own actions and reactions to situations.
It reminds me of the time I had to deal with cyberbullies; no matter what I did,
my words were twisted and eventually held against me. Soon, I realised the
truth wasn’t even what was important to these bullies in the first place, they
were just out to drag my name through the mud and watch the chaos it created in
my life. What’s even more disgusting and damaging about E’s accuser’s
behaviour, is that by making a false report, she’s also hurting real victims in
the future.
I’ve learned from that and
now from E’s experience to be more aware of how I react to situations around
me, because in the end, while you can never predict how someone will interpret
what you say or do, you do have
control over how you behave towards the situation.
Which is why I’m so proud
of E! He’s been so patient and calm given this horrible situation. It’s just SUCH
a big relief to know now that his name was cleared and the truth is out – finally
we can all put this behind us!
As you can imagine, this
week really has been a stressful one, but from this frazzled time I was
inspired to share with you a quick little beauty tip to tame those annoying
flyaways we always get – especially in Singapore’s humid climate!
Bad hair day? |
For this beauty hack, all
you’ll need is a toothbrush and hairspray.
Begin by doing your hair how you’d
like to wear it that day. Now that you’re left with a few flyaways here and
there, you know exactly which area to target. Simply spray hairspray onto the
toothbrush and comb over the flyaways following the direction of your hair.
The
flyaways will settle down because of the hairspray, naturally fit in with the
rest of your look, and won’t make your hair look greasy. Simple right?
Ta-da! |
That’s it for this week
girls, I hope this tip helps you out next time you’re struggling with flyaways.
Until next time! Mwah!
Xoxo
