With Arjun moving back home… dare I
say Singapore has started feeling more like home? The constant battle between
the hot sun and cool rain has also begun to grow on me. Okay, I’ll be honest there
is another reason to why I’m loving this new country so much these days… you
guessed it! B, my #knightinshiningapron!
They say you can tell a lot about a
person from their room, and when he was over a few days ago (sorry! no details
:P) I felt so happy to be able to share another part of who I am with him. I
saw a different side of him too (B is scared of cockroaches! can you believe
it?) but that’s the beauty of meeting someone new – they’ll always surprise
you! I can’t wait to look back and tell people the story of our afternoon
together as one of our quirky first dates.
I know B likes me for who I am, but getting
the right smoky eyes look doesn’t hurt either! So this week’s beauty tip is for
all the girls going on a date this weekend! It’s young, girly and I guarantee
it’ll get you your man. Here we go!
1.Firstly, remember to use primer on
your eyelid! Primer helps to keep your colours more pigmented throughout the
night so it’s extremely worth investing in one.
Step 1 - Add primer |
2. This look isn’t going to be the
usual silver-and-black smoky combination. I want you girls to add a light pink
shade as a base and blend it in from the inner part of your lid into the corner
of your eyes. This will add a slight flirtatious factor to the classic smoky
eye look.
Step 2 - Applying pink shade |
Step 2 - After applying pink shade |
3. Next, apply black eye shadow on
the outer crease of your eyelid and blend or brush with your fingers. Add black
eye shadow below the lower lash line as well, and smudge it a little.
Step 3 - Applying black eye shadow |
Step 3 - Black eye shadow |
4. Now it’s time to emphasize the
shape of your eyes with eyeliner. This time, I want you to carry it upwards and
draw a wing to create a cat-like look.
5. Next, add silver eye shadow at
the inner corner of your eyes. It’s a really great trick to brighten up your
eyes and make them appear bigger!
6. To complete the look, I like to
add a lighter shade of eye shadow such as cream or ivory to my brow bone for
emphasis.
7. If you’re feeling extra
adventurous, go ahead and put on some fake lashes too for an awesome dramatic
effect!
Voila! That’s it! I really hope you
girls give this smoky eye look a try this weekend. Let me know how it goes by
hash tagging #datenightsmokyeye and #frufrushru in the caption of your photos. Trust
me, your man won’t be able to take his eyes off you, it worked for me! Until
next time! Mwah!

ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope so too!! :)
DeleteYou're welcome! I think I saw your "Bounce Back With Bright Eyes" post. Did you meant B? The part where you mentioned that you should not force things. I really hope everything is fine.
