Hai
Girls!
This
week’s been quite a tough one. My friend E was recently accused of something
I’m sure he didn’t do, and there’s really not much I can do about it.
It’s
so frustrating being so close to someone and having such little control in
helping them solve their problem. It’s especially difficult since the
accusation is such a personal one to E’s character. Those of us who know him
well don’t question for a second that he is innocent… but how are we supposed
to show the rest of the world that? At the end it’s our word against theirs…
I
guess the only thing I can do now is wait for the truth to come out, and hope
that the person who’s actually in the wrong is caught in their dirty lie. It’s
obvious to me that unless you have concrete evidence to prove that someone is
guilty of something, it’s not fair to throw wild accusations. Even if E is
proven innocent in the end, my fear is that the damage to his reputation has
been done.
Keeping
in the spirit of laying bare the truth, and authenticity of character, I wanted
to share a DIY facemask will help you to clean, exfoliate, hydrate and
moisturise your skin to help you show off what you were naturally born with.
All this with basic ingredients you can find in your refrigerator!
All
you need is some plain yoghurt and cucumber! (Olive oil is optional if you
generally have dry skin). The yoghurt
contains lactic acid, which will help you exfoliate and moisturize your skin
naturally. Cucumbers, as many of you probably know has cooling properties, but
the lesser known fact is that it’s also an amazing natural remedy for sunburn,
skin discoloration and pimples!
Here’s
what you do:
1. Peel half a cucumber and
blend it in with one tablespoon of plain yoghurt.
3. Wash your face with warm
water to help open up all your pores, then dab your face with a dry towel.
4. Wash your hands next, and
with the tips of your fingers, massage in the puree in a circular motion all
over your face and neck.
5. Leave the mask on for
twenty or thirty minutes depending on how quickly it dries on your face.
6. With the left over
cucumber, cut two slices to rest on your eyes to reduce any swelling or
irritation and feel free to snack on the rest of the cucumber while you wait! :

7. Gently rinse off the mask
with warm water, and then immediately after repeat this process with cold water.
8. Dab your face dry with a
clean towel and voilà!
I
hope you girls try this AMAZING yet simple mask to rejuvenate your skin. Be
sure to tag me with your photos on Instagram @frufru.shru or #frufrushru! Until next time, mwah!
