Everything you need for a coffee facemask and a relaxing evening! |
Do
you know what I love about my big brother, A? No, not that he’s annoying and
cracks really bad jokes and likes to call me “brat”… but that every so often
he’ll surprise me with his kindness and his wisdom.
Though
it’s been a rough few months for all of us, no one has suffered more
emotionally and physically than my brother, A. Which is why I was so nervous
about what his reaction would be when he learned the truth about T and J.
To
my surprise however, A’s post-chemo perspective was exactly the kind of
positive energy we needed to help guide my family through this crazy situation.
With A accepting T and J into our family so openly, suddenly everything started
feeling a lot less complicated, and I absolutely love this quality about him.
But
as things at home seem to be getting back to normal, things with S are… not so
great. It seems like the harder we try to make things work, or spend time
together, the more stress and strain I feel. I just wish he would understand
that while he’s an important part of my life, I have a lot of other things
going on right now too.
So
with all the busyness of school and family life, coffee has been my go-to to
help me push through long days and nights, and in more ways that one! This
week, I’m going to share a quick and effective coffee facemask I’ve been using
that I just love:
Here’s
what you do:
1. Grind up half a cup of
organic coffee beans. By using higher quality coffee beans, you maximize on the
antioxidant benefits of this facemask.
2. Add two tablespoons of
honey, or olive oil (which provides the same moisturising benefits).
3. Mix in two tablespoons of
unsweetened milk, or yogurt and stir until you have a thick paste.
4. Apply the paste to your
face and leave it on for fifteen minutes until it hardens.
5. Splash your face with cold
water afterwards, and admire the instant results of your brighter, more energised
skin!
I
hope you girls try this out, because even when life gets overwhelming… there’s
always a bright light, which will guide you through – you just have to find it!
Until
next time…
Xoxo
