Hai
girls!!!
I’m
so excited to update that I finally got the chance to visit Hong Kong
Disneyland for a fun and romantic holiday with E. I’ve been looking forward to
this my whole life, having been a fan of Disney cartoons and movies from a very
young age, so a big thank you to Travel Trekkers for sponsoring the whole trip!
Do I look good with these ears? |
As
soon as we entered, we found ourselves at Main Street U.S.A. It’s designed to
look like a 20th-century Midwest town and it totally felt as if I had gone back
in time. There were so many shops, selling all kinds of Disney merchandise and
souvenirs, and as expected, I spent quite some time here, much to E’s agony.
Haha! But he was a total gentleman about it – he helped me carry all my
shopping bags and everything. You’re the best, E.
Exploring Disneyland with E |
The
first ride we took was the Space Mountain ride – by far my absolute favourite.
We queued for about 50 (agonising) minutes, and we almost gave up. But it’s so
worth the wait! It’s an indoor rollercoaster and everything is pitch-dark. I’ve
never screamed so loud in my life because we couldn’t see where we were going.
We also played the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters where you score points by
shooting at targets, and of course, I won.
Next,
we went on the “It’s A Small World” ride (I couldn’t get the song out of my
head afterwards and totally annoyed E by singing it non-stop), the Mad Hatters
Tea Cup ride and the RC race ride that was soooooooooo scary! It’s a U-shaped
roller coaster and at first, it was kind of slow, so I didn’t think much about
it. But then it reached the highest point – oh my God – I swear I felt my
stomach drop.
Totally
exhausted after a long day, we dragged ourselves back to the hotel and ate at
the Crystal Lotus Restaurant where the Dim Sum is shaped in the form of Disney
Characters. This is only available at Hong Kong Disneyland so you must give
this a try when you’re here!
These are too cute to eat! |
Finally,
we went back to the park at around 8pm just to catch the fireworks. It was a fairytale
ending to a marvellous day. Ah… I can still see those bright sparkly blooms in
my mind.
Waiting for the parade to start |
And
here’s a protip just for you gals, my loyal readers, who may be planning to go
to Hong Kong Disneyland for a holiday: strategise your Fast Passes. These are
passes which allow you to skip the queue at the rides, a real lifesaver when it
gets crowded. You can only have 1 at a time, so use them only for the most
crowded rides!
Well,
that’s it for this post. Until next time! Mwah!
Xoxo
