Hai Girls,
It’s absolutely
unbelievable how fast 2015 has come and gone!
The big move to Singapore
was obviously such a huge change for me, in some ways daunting and in other
ways refreshing. I’ve been through so many experiences just in this year alone.
The bad: It was quite a
struggle during the rough cyber-bullying phase I went through. I guess I’m more
resilient than I ever knew, but still it wasn’t easy. Some days were quite depressing
and I really thought I wouldn’t make it through them!
The embarrassing: Another aspect
that was quite tough was dealing with rejection! Thinking back about my big
crush on a guy earlier this year (remember B, my #knightinshiningarmour?), I
feel a little embarrassed, though luckily, enough time has passed that we are
now on friendly terms. I’ve realised that some people are naturally compatible
and others just aren’t… and there’s nothing wrong with that!
The good: Making friends in
a new country was way harder than I expected too! I thought everyone would be
welcoming and I’d fall right into place, but the truth is it was a long process
to finally figure out who I’m supposed to be friends with. It’s no secret I
didn’t get along with E at first, but look at us now… as annoying as he is,
he’s turned out to be a good friend.
Personal growth is an
ongoing challenge and these days, I’m trying to stay strong despite the fact
that almost no one has responded to the invitation that I sent out for my
birthday party tomorrow. :( I hope it’s because people are too caught up with
their year-end busyness to RSVP and not cos of some other horrible person’s
competing new year’s eve party (ughh)!
Let me take breath here… The
most important thing is that at the end of 2015 I’m happy and content with the
person I am today. I also have to thank the people who stuck around to help me
through it all – and that includes you, yes my loyal blog readers! Thank you!!
I love you guys! :)
So, in the spirit of the
new year, I have already worked out my new year’s resolutions for 2016! To make
sure that I don’t forget them, I’ve decided to try this new trick of writing my
resolutions on coloured post-its and sticking them around my room, or just areas
around the house where I’d see them often. This way I’m constantly reminded of
my goals for the year!
So what are your
resolutions for 2016? I’m going with just three this year!
1. GO FOR A RUN! Have you
exercised today? Do it - you know you’ll feel better : )
2. TAKE YOUR VITAMINS! And
grow up strong and healthy.
3. BE PRODUCTIVE! What are
you doing right now? Go do something useful or work on your blog!
That’s it for this week,
until next time. Mwah!
