It was so great to see M up
and well this week. He seemed to be feeling a lot better and I definitely agree
with his parents that he should defer his NS enlistment. His health should be his
first priority but somehow I can’t help but feel a little guilty about making
plans and preparing for university while M has to put his life on hold.
I’ve actually been dealing
with some guilt lately. I’ve noticed how much better off I am (financially) compared
to some of my other friends. They struggle to make ends meet and delay their
dreams because it just isn’t possible for them at this point of their lives. Also,
I’ve just found out that P has been staying at a hostel when I thought she had
patched things up with her mother and moved back home. On top of that, she’s
still working long hours with D’s cleaning company.
Knowing this now, I feel
terrible that I’ve been less than understanding and less than welcoming to P. I
didn’t help a friend in need when I should have, and I can’t help but feel
responsible that she had to face her problems all alone in a hostel. I’m glad
she’s agreed to move back in with us for now. I feel better knowing she’ll be
in a comfortable and supportive environment.
Getting into university is
the only thing I have to think about these days and I can already feel the
stress. I can’t even imagine the stresses P has to deal with - family, financial
complications and her studies and future as well!
Thankfully, E was around to
help us relieve our stress. I won’t lie… giving him funny hair makeovers helped
us blow off some much needed steam. Despite everything that happens, it’s such
a relief knowing at the end of the day that we’ve got each other to just goof
around with.
Being
stressed and feeling guilty can take a toll on how you look and feel,
especially in the form of dark circles under your eyes. All that worry isn’t
good for your skin! So for this week’s beauty tip, I’ll be sharing my little trick
to help you lighten and clear up your dark circles.
All
you need is milk! Believe it or not,
milk has properties that help lighten the skin, and the lactic acid in it helps
tone skin as well. Even Cleopatra was known to take milk baths because it was a
symbol of luxury as well as beauty.
Get some fresh milk |
So
grab some milk, soak it up in some cotton balls and rest it under your eyes on
your dark circles for ten minutes everyday. Remember that consistency is key! Do this
regularly and I guarantee you’ll see results within the first week.
Soak up two cotton balls |
Place them under your eyes |
Relax for 10 minutes |
That’s
it for this week girls, until next time! Mwah!
Xoxo
