One of the perks of waking up early is catching the gorgeous sunrise! |
Ever
feel like you need a holiday? I do! Lately, I’ve been so busy and just feeling really
tired all the time, with no time to de-compress from the day.
So,
I decided I had to make a change to my schedule or risk getting seriously burnt
out. I started going to bed earlier and waking up earlier in the mornings for
some quality Fru Fru Shru time.
Initially,
the sole purpose of these stolen hours was to enjoy some alone time before the responsibilities
of the day fell into my lap. But to my surprise, waking up just an hour or two earlier
has changed my life altogether.
With
more hours in the day, my daily schedules loosened up, and eventually I found
myself feeling more relaxed, and happier. Instead of fighting the clock and
compromising on things I wanted to get done, I do it all and still have safety buffer time around my commitments.
Not
to mention that I feel healthier waking up earlier too! And so this week I want
to share my schedule in case any of you are looking to make a positive, and
more productive change in your lives! So here it is:
6:00
- Wake up, have a coffee and get into your exercise attire.
6:30
– Head out for a sunrise run. (Be sure to take some beautiful photos of the
sunrise, and soak up some sunshine!)
7:00
– Have a big breakfast and drink lots of water to ensure hydration after
working out.
7:30
– Have a shower and get ready for the day.
8:30
– Head out for classes or work.
9:00
– Start working and get through it all feeling energized!
18:00
– Head back home.
19:00
– Stretch it out and do some yoga or any other light exercise you enjoy.
19:30
– Shower, then enjoy a delicious dinner
20:00
– Catch up on some school work or prep your readings and tasks for the next
day. If you get an evening off, catch up on your favourite TV shows!
21:30
- Get into bed with your favourite herbal tea, calming tunes and an interesting
book to unwind.
22:00
– Lights off - it’s sleepy time! Clock in those eight hours to reboot your
system for the following day.
I
challenge YOU to give this lifestyle a shot, just for a week – I promise you’ll
see the perks trickle down through every part of your life.
Who’s
with me?
Xoxo
